Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the leakage of fluid in a spool-type flow control valve by a simple construction.
CONSTITUTION: During the fixed speed running of a car, since the upward thrust given to a piston 16 by the pressure difference between an upper chamber 18 and a lower chamber 19 is smaller than the load of a spring 20, a valve spool 13 is pushed downward. By this pushing force, the valve spool 13 cuts off a passage 13a from a chamber 26, and a valve 27 is brought in contact with the top face of a sleeve 12. Consequently, the air on the side of an entrance 11a can be leaked to the chamber 26 via the passage 13b and the relative sliding part between the valve spool 13 and the sleeve 12. But, since the flow from the chamber 26 into the inner hollow of the sleeve 12 is checked by the valve 27, the air flow from the entrance 11a to an exit 11b is checked. For deceleration, the negative pressure in an intake manifold 21 is increased, and as the entrance 11a is connected with the exit 11b, purified air is supplied into the menifold 21.
