Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of the direction of the nozzle and enhance the productivity by a method wherein plural inks of different colors are jetted from a single nozzle provided with plural pressurizing chambers having electrostrictive elements. CONSTITUTION:When a driving voltage is impressed on the electrostrictive element 2, the element 2 vibrates to apply a pressure to red ink 9 in an ink chamber 12, so that the droplets 9a of the red ink 9 are jetted from the nozzle 13 toward a recording paper 11. When a driving voltage is impressed on the electrostrictive element 6, the element 6 vibrates to apply a pressure to black ink 10 in the ink chamber 12, so that the droplets 10a of the black ink 10 are jetted from the nozzle 13 toward the recording paper 11. When passage resistances 15 having a chamber 15c delinerated by a partition plate 15b provided with a hole or holes 15a are placed between the pressurizing chamber 1 and an ink feed pipe 4 and between the pressurizing chamber 5 and an ink feed pipe 8, the vibrations of the electrostrictive elements 2, 6 can be prevented from being propagated toward the ink feed pipes 4, 8.
