Abstract

PURPOSE:To bring out bright medium tones by shifting a place into which each color ink is jetted and thereby mixing the same in juxtaposition in a colored- image recording method wherein ink of multiple colors is jetted into dot matrixes numbering nXm. CONSTITUTION:In the case when a colored image represented by medium tones is formed by using image elements consisting, for instance, of dots numbering 4X4, a head part 7 wherein heads 13, 14 and 15 for a cyanide color, heads 16, 17 and 18 for a magneta color and heads 19, 20 and 21 for a yellow color are arranged is used, cyanide-color ink is jetted in a prescribed quantity into the dot matrix consisting of X1-X3 and Y1-Y3, and magneta-color ink and yelloe- color ink are jetted also in a prescribed quantity into the matrix consisting of X2-X4 and Y2-Y4 and the matrix consisting of X2-X4 and Y1-Y3, respectively, whereby the image elements of neutral tints are formed. Accordingly, the overalpping of each color at the same position is very little and thus bright medium tones can be obtained.
