Abstract

PURPOSE:To rapidly attenuate variations of ink pressure in the head and enhance printing quality by forming at least a part of an ink feed passages from a flexible material, in the titled recording head having a multinozzle structure. CONSTITUTION:In the ink jet recording head of the multi-nozzle structure provided with plural nozzles 6 for jetting the ink, pressure chamber 4, piezoelectric elements 1, the ink feed passages 8 for feeding the ink from a common ink chamber 7 into the pressure chambers 4 and the like, at least a part of the ink feed passages 8 is formed of the flexible material 9 such as butyl rubber. Accordingly, the attenuation of the pressure variations generated by the piezoelectric elements 1 is accelerated by the flexible material 9, pressure variations applied to the ink chamber 7 are reduced, the period of jetting, i.e., the frequency characteristic is improved and simultaneously the dispersion of jetting speed is reduced.
