Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an easy method for achieving firm bonding, which comprises heat mixing and foaming of an unfoamed composition obtained by adding a foaming agent to a graft polymer containing a specific silane derivative and another composition obtained by adding a silanol catalyst and water to a specific resin, and pressing the substrate to be bonded against the surface of the foamed mixture.
CONSTITUTION: (A) An unfoamed composition obtained by adding a foaming agnet to a graft polymer prepared by the graft polymerization of a silane derivative of formula R-Si-Ys (R is olefinic unsaturated univalent hydrocarbon group, pref. vinyl; Y is hydrolyzable organic group, pref. alkoxy), pref. vinyl triethoxysilane to an olefin resin (pref. polyethylene, etc.) is thermally mixed with (B) a composition obtained by adding a silanol condensation catalyst (pref. dibutytin dilaurate) and water or alcohol to a resin compatible with said graft polymer of a hydroxy- containing resin reactive with said silane derivative. The substrate to be bonded is pressed against the foamed mixture obtained above. The mixing ratio of (A):(B) is pref. 9:1W5:5.
