Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the delaying circuit as well as the useless queuing time, by performing a continuity test with the synchronization secured among the switch modules utilyzing ringing tone generator output signal. CONSTITUTION:The ringing tone generator RBT transmits the signal which is the reference for the transmission time, the breaking time and the like of the ringing tone to the subscriber as well as the timing generator CTG. The generator CTG produces the signal to give the synchronization to the timing for the continuity test. This signal is then applied to the main control unit MCC. And the unit MCC gives a command for start of the continuity test to the secondary control units CC1, CCn and others in each module. Each secondary control unit switches the ringing tone bus to the call bus and at the same time applies the fixed signal to the dropper/ inserter control memory DIM in order to insert the test pattern into the time slot of both the calling and called subscribers each as well as to sample the test pattern passed through the time-division channel. Then the synchronization can be secured among all check circuits CHK in the modules SM1-SMn to start the check for the test pattern.
