Abstract

PURPOSE: To compress a bulged blank pipe by means of dies and make forming of many bulged parts with one die easy by inserting heads into the blank pipe, and clamping the blank pipe by the dies thereby forming a pressure chamber in the pipe.
CONSTITUTION: First, a clamping die 15 and a forming die 13 are opened by cylinders 11, 16, and a blank pipe 6 is inserted into a moving frame 3 so as to enclose a stationary head 14 and a moving head 12. Next, the clamping die 15 and the forming die 13 are closed to clamp the blank pipe 6, and the pipe inside is sealed by the packings 18, 19 of the stationary head 14 and moving head 12. Thence, liquid pressure is sent from a port 7 through piping 8 into a pressure chamber 24 via the pipeline 9 of a stationary rod 5. When the blank pipe 6 bulges slightly, the moving frame 3 and moving sleeve 4 are pushed by a cylinder 1 to reduce 23 the pressure chamber 24. Thence, the blank pipe 6 is formed between the clamping die 15 and the molding die 13. The bulged parts are formed by repeating this cycle.
