Abstract

PURPOSE: To supply water to a dam economically by a method wherein a multitude of reservoirs are provided on a slope of mountainside by dividing the altitude accordingly, and water in each reservoir is pumped up to supply to an upper reservoir and into a dam finally by means of a pumping equipment using a wind mill.
CONSTITUTION: A multitude of reservoirs 5 are provided along a mountainside slope 1a of a mountain 1 at positions whereat the altitude is divided accordingly, and a pumping equipement 6 for which a wind mill 9 works as a power source is provided near the reservoirs 5. In the mountain 1 thrrer blows always an ascending air current A along the slope 1a, therefore the ascending air current A is led to a vane 13 by a wind receiving plate 14 solid with a rudder 15, which is rotated. A gear pump 7 constituting the pumping equipment 6 is driven by rotations of the vane 13, and water of a river 3 sucked in through an inlet pipe 7b is pumped up to the reservoir 5 through delivery pipe 7c. Water in the reservoir 5 positioned lower is pumped up likewise to the upper reservoir 5 and finally into a dam 2.
