Abstract
PURPOSE:To correct a chromatic aberration not accompanied by deterioration of neck shadow tolerance, change of deflection sensitivity and the like by providing means changing the shape of distribution of a vertical deflection magnetic field without transferring the center of the vertical deflection magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:The deflection device consists of a saddle-form horizontal deflection coil 21, saddle-form vertical deflection coil 22 and core 23. The core 23 is divided into two parts. In the distribution of the vertical deflection magnetic field, the center of the vertical deflection magnetic field does not transfer but does a peak position transfer toward the side of a fluorescent screen, the intensity of the magnetic field is decreased from the peak position through the core 23a, the intensity of the magnetic field begins to increase within the core 23b and at a side of an electron gun and thereby there ranges the magnetic field ascending almost rectilinearyl from the side of the electron gun through the center of the magnetic field.
