Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise definition of image by properly disignating the relations between the relative distance of the center of the main electron lens of an electron qun to its both outer electron beams, optimum focusing voltage, and the positive electrode voltage of fluorescent screen. CONSTITUTION:The ratio of the relative distance between the center and both outer electron beams of the main electron lens of an electron gun to the positive electrode voltage EB of fluorescent screen at the optimum focusing voltage VF is set up in the range of 4.73<=VF/EBX100X1/S<=6.25. Thus, the spherical aberration and focusing multiplication of the main electron lens can be made smaller without increasing the relative distance of the three electron beams of inline arrangement.
