Abstract
PURPOSE:To curtail production cost, make good use of heat and shorten warm-up hours by decreasing the amount of expensive high-melting point metal materials used and employing an end shield of low processing fees and simple structure. CONSTITUTION:A heat dam 20 is formed to be to the extent that the outside diameter thereof may be suitably coupled with the inside diameter of a spiral cathode 4 and at least three positioning bending-up portions 20a coupled with the torusshaped endshield 21 are formed round the outside face at a desired distance from an end level of a cylinder of said heat dam 20. Hereby the end shield 21 is formed by making a thin board material of a high melting point metal torus shaped and a central hole thereof is formed having a diameter nearly equal to an outside one of the heat dam 20. This torus-shaped end shield 21 is inserted from an end port of the heat dam 20 and stationary positioned when fastened to the bending-up portions 20a.
