Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the shape of a tank larger and also the enable quick cooling and quick heating by a method wherein a plate type heat exchanger is installed on the outer wall or sorrounding wall of a tank for beverage and edibles and liquid in the tank is circulated through the heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: When heating liquid, steam is supplied to a heat exchanger 2 through a supplying pipe 10 and the liquid within a tank 1 is forcedly introduced into the heat exchanger 2, and then, it is provided with a specified temperature to return to the tank 1 through a return pipe 9. When cooling, coolant is supplied from the supplying pipe 10, and circulation is performed as before. The overall heat transmitting coefficient of the plate type heat exchanger 2 is 3W4 times as large as that of a tank jacket, as a result, heating or cooling of liquid within the tank is performed in a short time. On or OFF of a pump 7 is made to interlock synchronously with the open or close of a valve in a circulation circuit, and controlled by an automatic temperature adjusting system to obtain heat insulation. Thus, a heat insulation tank which can be quickly cooled or heated can be obtained.
