Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a subject rotary press which is inexpensive and capable of printing on both sides of the sheet with a variety of modes, by a method wherein a plurality of sets of printing-on-both-sides units consisting of 2 sets of printing-on-a- single-side units, guide rolls for web-delivery and -dispatch, and turning bars are laminated. CONSTITUTION:In a rotary press printing on both sides of the sheet, 2 printing-on- a-single-side units are positioned facing and opposite to each other, and are separated into right and left sides with a width of a web between them. So formed rotary presses printing on both sides are laminated in stages. A quadrangular cylindrical space, whose side is equivalent to about the width of the web, is formed between the two printing-on-a-single-side units. Turning bars 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, and 43 are positioned in parallel from delivery guide rollers 35, 36, and 37, which are located in parallel at the front of the space, to dispatch rollers 44, 45, and 46 situated in parallel at the rear of the space. The turning bars serve as a 90 deg. directional change point, and delivery, transition, and dispatch are conducted at a shortest distance and in variety between the printing units at respective sides, and with this printing is performed in 1 to 4-color on both upper and bottom surfaces of 1-3 webs.
