Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the opening of a choke valve responding to temperatures by limiting suction negative pressures, introduced to a negative pressure actuating device which opens a choke valve by negative pressure, responding to increased temperatures.
CONSTITUTION: Both a negative pressure chamber 8 and a control chamber 9, partioned with a negative pressure actuating member 5 in a negative pressure actuating device 4, are under atmospheric pressure during engine stoppage. A heat sensing-expansion and contraction member 24 of an operating part 25 is contracted during low temperature and a valve body 20 is full opened with a spring 23. Since suction negative pressure is diluted by the air introduced through a throtlling nozzle 14 in the contol chamber 9, the different pressure between the two chambers 8 and 9 permits an actuating member 5 to move to left against the reaction of a spring 13 and opens a choke valve 1 through an operation lever 6 and an arm 3. When the temperature of engine rises and the expansion and contraction member 24 is gradually expanded, the suction negative pressure introduced into the chamber 9 is limitted by the valve body 20, and the choke valve 1 is further opened.
