Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to automize penetration of a wire simply by a method wherein the wire or a rod, as a guiding member, is penetrated through a through hole for penetrating a wire electrode, provided beforehand in a work, and the wire electrode is connected to a tip thereof. CONSTITUTION:A wire electrode 7 for effecting a wire-cut is stored in a reel 8 and machining of a work 11 is effected by a part of the wire electrode between fixed guides 9, 10. A rod-shaped electrode 27 for working through holes 11a, 11b in the work 11 is penetrated through a head 4 beforehand and is provided with a supersonic oscillation under being pinched by an oscillating head 25. Thus, the machining of the fine bores may be effected stabilizedly, efficiently and easily during a short period of time. In this case, the working head 4 is descended to the lowermost position and is fixed. The tip of the penetrated electrode 27 is contacted with a tip of the electrode 7 and a welding current is flowed through the contacting part to connect both of the tips. This wire penetrating work may be automized simply by an NC control or the like.
