Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to effect an electric spark machining with a high accuracy in a working configuration by a NC control, a copying control or the like by a method wherein a detector and a compensator for a consumption of an electrode are provided and the machining is effected by repeating an electric pulse discharge to a gap between the electrode and a work to be worked. CONSTITUTION:An oscillating head 4, supporting a fine wire electrode 1, is supported by a feeding head 5 of Z-axis. A reflecting oscillation detecting and discriminating circuit 7, that is also an oscillation electric source, inputs a discriminating signal thereof into a motor 8 to effect a compensated feeding of the electrode 1. Subsequently, a tip end of the electrode 1, that means a length of the electrode wire projecting from a guide 16 supported by the head 5, is kept in constant because of the compensating feeding, thereby, enabling to effect a machining under opposing to a work 2. Accordingly, a configuration machining with a high accuracy may be effected just as the feeding of the profile machining effected by feeding motors 10- 12 by means of a NC controller 13.
