Abstract

SiO2 and/or Al2O3 powder and subjecting the same to electrophoretic coating. CONSTITUTION:For example, an Al or Al alloy material having been formed with oxide film on its surface by being anodized in sulfuric acid is dipped in a coating bath soln. contg. dispersed SiO2 and/or Al2O3 powder of a 0.01-15mu grain size range. In this state, direct current is passed through the coating bath soln. to form the film after which this film is heated to set, and at the same time to matte-finish. Here, materials of anionic type or cationic type or acrylic resin, alkyd resin base, etc. may be employed for the above-described electrodeposition coating.
