Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the precision for automatic tuning, by providing a clutch to switch the automatic tuning system dependent upon a motor and the tuning system dependent upon a manual operation. CONSTITUTION:For automatic channel selection, electricity is supplied to solenoid plunger 23, and clutch plate 21 is separated from fly-wheel 19, and clutch plate 21 is pressed to rotation shaft 20a of motor 20. Therefore, torque of motor 20 drives turning variable condenser 17 through clutch plate 21. Since tuning finger-screw 3 and fly-wheel 19 which are connected to the variable condenser for manual channel selection are separated from the driving system of the motor at this time, motor 20 drives only variable condenser 17, and needless inertia force can be excluded, so that high-precision automatic tuning is possible. Solenoid plunger 23 and the AFC system are operated by the touch switch which is provided in the knob so that this switch may be interlocked with the operation making the tuning knob manual.
