Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent generation of eddy current and uniform a static pressure distribution of steam current at a force stage to improve a stage efficiency by a method wherein a communicating way is connected between steam extracting grooves recessed in inner and outer rings of diaphragms pinchingly holding static blades for a steam turbine.
CONSTITUTION: A steam turbine is consisting of static blades 4a, 4b, provided between outer rings 2a, 2b of diaphragms fixed to whole peripheries of casings 1a, 1b and inner rings 3a, 3b of the diapharamgs, and dynamic blades 6a, 6b planted on a rotor 5. In this case, the inner ring 3b is provided with an annularly recessed extracting groove 17 extracting steam coming from vicinity of root portions of the dynamic blades 6b provided at a fore stage. A communicating way 18 is connected to the extracting groove 17 in order to send steam extracted from the vicinity of root portions of said dynamic blades 6a into an extracting chamber 8 recessed on the outer ring 2b through the extracting groove 19. According to this method, generation of eddy current of steam current within the fore stage is prevented and a static presure distribution in said portion may be uniformed.
