PURPOSE: To raise the thermal efficiency of the combined-cycle plant utilizing a high-temperature gas turbine and a steam turbine in combination, by leading exhaust gas of the gas turbine to a fluidized combustion boiler.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas of the gas turbine 3 contains a large amount of oxygen and is high in its temperature. This exhaust gas is carried to the fluidized combustion boiler 5 to be used as combusting air and fludizing gas. In the fluidized bed 7, coal is burnt vigorously and efficiently for heating boiler water and steam in an evaporator and superheater 10 and a reheater 12. Exhaust gas of boiler 5 is passed through a dust collector 9 and discharged into the atmosphere after heating feed water in a gas cooler 19. The feed water is heated in the evaporator and the supercharger 10 and carried to the boiler 5 after performing expansive work in a high- pressure turbine 11. Reheated steam heated in reheater 12 performes expansive work at an intermediate-pressure turbine 13 and a low-pressure turbine 14. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to obtain the power plant having a high thermal efficiency.
