Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate burstlike noises generated in detuning by generating a muting signal from a pulse output of narrow width centering on a tuning frequency formed from an FM demodulation output and a pilot detection output. CONSTITUTION:The sum signal of an amplitude-modulated right signal and left signal is AM-detected 3 and inputted to matrix circuit 6. A frequency-modulated right-left difference signal and pilot signal PP are FM-demodulated 5 and its output enters circuit 6, which separates right and left signals mutually and outputs them. Signal PP is selected by BPF33 and FM-demodulation output Ss is inputted to waveform shaping circuit 22 to generate waveform-shaping output PA of narrow width centering on tuning frequency f0. Detection output SI from detector 3 and signal PA are AND-ed by AND circuit 23 to generate pulse output PN and signal PN and signal PP are NAND-ed by NAND circuit 24 to generate muting signal SM, with which muting element QM is controlled. Therefore, only when signal PP and signal SS are obtained, the right-left difference signal is outputted and burstlike noises in detuning are muted.
