Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively prevent the sticking of solids on a screen by forming a basket to a circular cone shape with a downward convergent under opening and disposing foam receiving bodies in the upper part thereof.
CONSTITUTION: This is for performing anti-foaming of a culture tank and bacterium recovery, and the basket is of a circular cone shape opening downward, consisting of an outside cage 1 and a screen 2. Foam receivers 19, 23 are provided below the same in such a manner as to have a clearance between above and below and superpose each other. The basket is rotated and foams are released to the screen 2 surface from the release port 10 of a charging pipe 11. The foams are erased by the collision against the screen 2 surface and are released through the pierced holes to the outside. Even the foams which are not immediately erased also descend on the screen 2 surface and are successively erased. The solids 26 contained in the foams descend on the screen 2 by gravity and centrifugal force and reach the foam receiver 19. The solids 26 past the clearance between the foam receiver 19 and the screen 2 are captured in a casing 5. The anti foamed-liquid and the solids 26 mix and the mixture is recovered through a discharge port 9.
