Abstract
PURPOSE: To separate and remove plastic films easily with a simple apparatus, by crushing and screening wasted glass bottles coated with plastic films and installing a separating means.
CONSTITUTION: Glass bottles coated with plastic films are thrown into hopper 10 and sent to separating table 20. At the separating table, foreign matters are separated and removed, and the bottles are sent to crusher 30. The glass bottles are crushed by crusher 30 and the plastic films adhered to the glass bottles are separated. Almost all glass bottles are crushed into about ≤25mm. Then, the crushed material is sent to automatic screen 40 through sending conveyor 35, and screened into fractions of specified sizes. Since the plastic film is separated at 25W30mm size, the mesh of screen is set to about 25mm. Dust collector 45 is installed below screening machine 40, and the collector absorbs the plastic films falling down from the above. This separation of the plastic films from the glass fragments can also be made by installing a water tank. Separated glass fragments are discharged through conveyor 50.
