Abstract
PURPOSE: To make room cooling utilizing the evaporation due to the temperature difference of the atmosphere between daytime and night with a regenerative heat-exchanger made by integrating a number of small-capacity containers contg. regenerators with a continuous clearance provided.
CONSTITUTION: During night, when a blower 7 is driven with a change-over shutter 10 set to outdoor position, cool atmosphere is sucked into a regenerative heat- exchanger 5 to cool down a regenerator 1 and discharged through a discharge port 9. During daytime, when the shutter 10 is opened to a room through change-over. The air passing through a continuous clearance is cooled down to cool down the room while in contact with the regenerator. Since thus transmission area is large, the whole capacity of the regenerator 1 can be effectively utilized, the circulation of the regenerator 1 is not necessary, room cooling is possible by effectively utilizing the evaporation due to the temperature difference between daytime and night despite a simple equipment without necessity for motive power.
