Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise the control accuracy of humidification rate by enabling the direction of the outlet of a spray nozzle to be change so that spray may come against the inner wall of an air conditioner.
CONSTITUTION: A nozzle header 7 provided with a spray nozzle 8 is fastened to the bearing 18B of the lower wall 31 of an air conditioner 100 and passed through a bearing 18A provided on an upper wall 30, an arm 15 is fastened at the tip of the header 7, and a water feed pipe 5 is connected by means of a universal joint 17. The arm 15 is turnably jointed with an operating rod 14 operated by an operating cylinder 13 as indicated by arrow A and the spray nozzle 8 is turned within angular range θ. The flying distance of water drips is the largest extending to an eliminator 9 when spray direction agrees with the flow direction of feed air. As spray direction is changed toward an air conditioner side wall 16, the distance decreases, and humidification rate reduces at a rate nearly linear with respect to the angle of spray direction.
