Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent copy paper after fixation from winding around a press roll by arranging a tension roll at the exit side of the press roller and then by providing endless belts only at the exit side.
CONSTITUTION: Press roller 13 is covered with an elastic body of ≤70° in rubber hardness and ≥0.5mm in thickness. At the exit side of roll 13, tension roll 14 is provided and endless belts 15 are extended. To obtain belts 15 which should be of ≤0.3mm in thickness, glass fiber is impregnated with heat-proof resin and the surface is coated with fluorine resin to obtain nonviscousness. Consequently, belts 15 becomes level with the surface of roll 13 and nearly equal in temperature to roll 13, so that fixation will be carried out evenly. Copy paper after the fixation is fed forth without winding around roll 13 because of belts 15.
