Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure an assured electronic beam welding without causing any welding defect at the junction part even for a large-size and thick structure, by carrying out the welding while pressing the members to be welded which are butted to each other.
CONSTITUTION: In case this welding method is applied to a cylindrical structure, the cylindrical structure incorporating the arc-shaped component 1a to be welded previously and tentatively or the member 1a is placed on the turntable 10. And then the pressure oil is supplied from the hydraulic unit 12 to actuate the hydraulic cylinder 7, and thus the structure 1 is pressed with the prescribed pressure P1 and from the outer circumference to the center.
