Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to disconnect the channel interface of the current machine unconditionally, by providing a logic, which makes ineffective the channel interface disconnection inhibiting condition for spare machine switching, in the current machine.
CONSTITUTION: In the I/O control unit of the communication control unit and so on, the system is so constituted that current I/O control unit A may be switched to spare I/O control unit B when a fault occurs in current I/O control unit A. This current machine A is provided with a logic which generates the signal, which makes ineffective channel interface disconnection inhibiting conditions such as command execution signal 1 and interruption holding signal 2, by AND12 between current machine signal 11 and spare machine switching indication signal 10 and can disconnect current machine A by disconnection indication signal 6 from the system console or the current machine panel. As a result, the faulty current machine can be disconnected by indication from the console or the current panel.
