Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the loss due to a bad recording operation by a method wherein a pressure detecting means is provided behind a filter and the output thereof is compared with that under the normal pressure so as to give a warning just when the filter is blocked up. CONSTITUTION:Between the jetting port of a nozzle 5 and a filter 22 is fitted a pressure detector 31 such as, for instance, a semiconductor pressure transducer which transduces the change of pressure to that of the value of electric resistance of a conductor. And, when the pressure of jetting from the nozzle lowers below a given value, the output from a comparator C1 gives warning outside about the blocking- up of the filter. This enables, when any trouble takes place in an ink nozzle, immediate stoppage of operation of a recording device, replacement of the nozzle, etc., thus the loss due to a bad recording operation is minimized.
