Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the clogging of a nozzle immediately and thus enable printing again by filling a part of an ink-jet recording head or the like with an agent which makes dye soluble almost instantaneously. CONSTITUTION:While ink is fed from a tank 10 to a nozzle 3' through a pipe 8 and a feeding port 7, an agent for making dye soluble is filled up from a tank 11 to a nozzle 3 through a feeding port 6. The agent which reaches the tip of the nozzle 3 dampens the ink-jetting nozzle 3' by the force of surface tension and dissolves the dye inside the nozzle 3'. On the other hand, the felt 14 of a cover 12 closely fitted to the body of a head 15 and preventing the sticking of dust and the like and the clogging of the head therewith is impregnated with the agent. The agent for making the dye soluble is the one that dissolves instantaneously the dye left after the ink is vaporized, and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol or the like is usable therefor.
