Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure the recovery of ink of a method wherein a pipe branching off from the ink-feeding side is connected with the ink-recovering pipe of an ink-jet recording device so as to generate the jet stream of the ink inside the recovering pipe and thereby the pressure inside the pipe is turned negative. CONSTITUTION:In the device where the ink droplets not used for printing out of those jetted from an ink head 1 are caught by a gutter 7 and gathered into a tank 10 through an ink-recovering pipe 9, the end part of the pipe 9, i.e. a part 20 for connection with the tank 10, is enlarged, there the terminal part of a pipe 21 branching off from the discharge side of an ink-pressurizing pump 12 is opened and the jet stream of the ink is generated, whereby the pressure inside the pipe 9 is turned negative. It is preferable that a relief valve 30 opened for the atmospheric pressure is provided in the tank 10 so as to produce some negative pressure inside the tank 10 when the ink is recovered.
