Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the hardware quantity for the redundant circuit which performs an automatic switching to the stand-by circuit, by providing the means to set the flag to the defective side when a coincidence is obtained between the unit address and the discrimination signal plus the means to turn forcedly the flag output nondefective each.
CONSTITUTION: The transistor 27 in the switch circuit 3 functions as the means which sets the flag at the defective side when a coincidence is obtained between the unit address 5 and the discrimination signal 6. Thus the fuse 28 functioning as the flag is broken by the flag setting signal 29 when the coincidence signal is 1, and the flag output is turned 0 via the reversing circuit 30. On the other hand, the logic sum circuit 29 functions as the means which turns forcedly the flag output nondefective via the flag fixing signal 33. For the redundant memory device possessing such switch circuit 3, the flag setting signal 29 is supplied in common to the (k) units of the memory unit 2 which are required originally, and the flag fixing signal 33 is supplied in common to the full-number unit respectively. As a result, the hardware quantity can be reduced for the circuit.
