Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the infiltration of any shaft sealing oil into a motor chamber by treating leaked liquid from the shaft sealed section with a small pump rotating together with the rotating shaft provided in a pump casing formed between a bearing box and a shaft sealing device. CONSTITUTION:The bearing box 6 having bearings 7 and 8 is mounted at the bottom of the motor chamber 1 and provided at the bottom thereof with an oil casing 9 for the shaft sealing device in which an oil chamber 1 is formed with a bottom plate 11, while a pump casing 10 for a small pump is formed between the bearing box 6 and the casing 9. The small pump including a fixed impeller 13 is housed in the pump casing 10. The pump casing 10 and the oil chamber 12 are communicated by a through hole 12 and a check valve 16. This enables complete draining of oil leaked from the top of a double mechanical seat 14 thereby protecting the motor chamber.
