Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a small quantity of three-dimensional pattern bodies inexpensively by molding a pattern to a plastic mold by a photoprocess then casting a metal material with this as a mold by an extinction molding method.
CONSTITUTION: Based on a predetermined pattern, a photosensitive resin is hardened by a photoprocess to make a plastic mold 4. Thence, this plastic mold 4 is loaded into a case consisting of a ring 14 made of metal and a rubber base 16 with a projection 15 in the state that it is held afloat by way of a branch as a cross gate comprising wax. A muddy investment material 18 is then flowed into the case. Thence, it is left standing for a suitable time unitl the investment material 18 solidifies, after which the rubber base 16 is removed and the ring 14 made of metal is heated to burn the branch 17 and plastic mold 4, so that a cavity 19 is formed in the investment material 18. Thence, gold, silver, copper or other desired metal material is flowed into this cavity 19 and is allowed to harden. After this, the investment material 18 is taken out from the ring 14 made of metal, and this is broken to obtain the porduct.
