Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the slip between the edge and collar of the work, the wear of rolls and the flaw of the work by transmitting driving force by pressing the pressure plate fixed to a driving shaft by way of the friction plates provided to an upper roll and a lower roll.
CONSTITUTION: When pressure bolts 28 are tightened, an upper roll 16 and a lower roll 17 are grasped from above and below by friction plates 26 and 23 and are thereby clamped. A keeping plate 24 rotates integrally with a driving shaft 14 and its rotating force is transmitted to the upper roll 16 and lower roll 17. The magnitude of the rotating force may be adjusted by adjusting the tightening torque of the pressure bolts 28. Namely, the upper, lower rolls 16, 17 do not rotate integrally with the driving shaft 14 and revolve in a free state by slipping between the friction plates 23, 26 owing to the action of fixed restraining force. Because of this, the upper, lower rolls 16, 17 minimize the slip between the top and under surfaces of the member 21 to be bent; in addition, a collar 19 also revolves without making slip, thus the wear owing to the slip of the rolls does not occur.
