Abstract
PURPOSE:To correctly and easily make adjustment of overload critical torque, by providing an arc-shap recessed part in the periphery of rotary drive substance and in the inner circumference of driven substance, engaged to the before said substance, respectively, and by installing a steel ball, for the torque transmission, to said recessed part. CONSTITUTION:In the peripheral face of a rotary drive substance 1 and in the inner circumferential face of a driven substance 9, is provided an arc-shape recessed part 20, 21 respectively. Into the recessed part 20 21, is installed a steel ball 22 for the torque transmission. The steel ball 22 is axially applied a pressing force by a torque spring 16 through a tapered thrust sleeve 13. Within a range of limited torque, a torque is transmitted from the drive substance 1 to the driven substance 9 through the steel ball 22. At the time of overload, with the steel ball 22 shifted to the side of the driven substance 9 against the pressing force of the spring 16, a torque is not transmitted. And by adjusting the pressing force of the spring 16, adjustment of the critical torque can be made.
