Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stabilized picture without any special device constitution, by avoiding the use of the secondary latent image produced by the initial modulation and on the picture receiving medium for the picture formation in the device which uses the screen-type photoreceptor and the picture receiving medium. CONSTITUTION:The ion current is modulated on the picture receiving medium by the primary latent image of the screen photoreceptor, and then the secondary latent image on the picture receiving medium is developed. Then this developed picture is copied onto the sheet component. In such method, the modulation is carried out in many times with use of the same primary latent image, and thus a picture is obtained. In such case, the concentration of development is lowered at the first time or several subsequent times of modulation. The concentration is low in particular at the first modulation. The development is paused for formation of the picture during the low-concentration times, and then the load is eliminated for the cleaning means. Furthermore, the supply of the copy sheets is stopped to save the copy sheets. Thus a low-cost picture can be obtained by giving the development to the stabilized pictures at and subsequent times and without using any special device to prevent the change of the initial picture.
