Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain the separation of gases with a predetermined separation performance and a large separation coefficient by incorporating a mixed gases separator using a membrane in a constant-temperature tank controllable to any temperature.
CONSTITUTION: Gases to be separated, supplied from the mixed gases source 1, are raised its pressure to a given pressure by the compressor 3, passed through the heat exchange tube 4 to control its temperature to a given temperature by means of the constant-temperature tank 5, and then put into the high-pressure chamber 8 of the gas separation cell 6 being controlled to a given temperature by the constant- temperature tank 7, where part of gas permeats the membrane 9, enters the low- pressure chamber 10, and then reaches the separated gas trap 12 through the conduit 11. Gas which failed to permeat the membrane passes through the flow regulating valve 14 from the discharge pipe 13 and then reaches the separated gas trap 15.
