Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate production considerably and condense ultrasonic waves accurately with a high precision, by forming the surface electrode or the back electrode divisionally and by using a high-polymer piezoelectric material. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic transducer consisting of support material 7, back electrode 8, high-polymer piezoelectric film 9, and surface electrode 10 is formed into a plate form, and one of back electrode 8 and surface electrode 10 at least is divided. Piezoelectric film 9 is driven at a time or driven by a prescribed phase or phase difference by this divided electrode, thereby condensing acoustic waves and scanning in the linear system or the sector system.
