Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the damage of paddy rice plant after transplantation caused by the treatment with probenazole in the nursing box, by treating the soil in the nursing box with 4-methylsulfonyloxyphenyl-N-methylthiol carbamate before seeding.
CONSTITUTION: The soil in a nursing box of paddy-rice plant is treated, before seeding, with 4-methylsulfonyloxyphenyl-N-methylthiol carbamate which is an agricultural and horticultural soil disinfectant. Rice is seeded to the soil, cultured for 10W20 days by conventional method, and treated with 3-allyloxy-1,2-benzoisothiazole-1,1-dioxide (probenazole). By this process, the damage of the paddy-rice plant, e.g. yellowing of the leaves, retardation of growth, etc. after transplantation, can be reduced. The amounts of the agents are, 0.1W5g of the carbamate compound and 2.4W4g of probenazole per one nursery box.
