Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the soldering property and corrosion resistance of the titled plated coating by subjecting a metal plated coating according to the impulse plating to the immersion treatment in a treating bath such as heat resistant oils or the like not oxidizable against the above described metal to a specific temp. for an appropriate time. CONSTITUTION:An article to be treated inferior to corrosion resistance and soldering property obtained by plating a metal substrate by tin or tin.lead alloy by an impulse plating method (or an article obtained by applying the above described impulse plating on a copper layer under-plated on a steel substrate) is immersed in a heated treating liquid prepared by heating oils (oleic acid or the like) or oily substances having heat resistance and being not oxidizable against a metal to be plated to a temp. between m.p. or more of metal to be plated and 250 deg.C or less to be subjected to the heat treatment for an appropriate time and, thereby, particles of plating metal in the aforementioned plated layer are mutually melt fused to form a dense plated coating as well as to improve the soldering property and corrosion resistance.
