Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a belt inexpensively by immersing a reinforcing fiber material in an adhesive material mixed with a coloring material and thereby coloring the belt with a simple equipment.
CONSTITUTION: An adhesive material mixed with a coloring material 7 such as a dye is injected in a vessel 6 for an adhesive agent, a reinforcing fiber material 2 is immersed in the adhesive agent thus colored, and then it is supplied to an inner mold 1A. Next, after the inner mold 1A is inserted into an outer mold 1B concentrically, a liquefied polymer composition 3 such as polyurethane and liquefied silicone gum is injected therein and is set. After that, the set article is removed from the mold and a cylindrical body 4 thus obtained is cut into ringlike articles and thus formed into transmission belts 5. In this way, reinforcing fibers 2 coated with the dye of a prescribed color is wound, together with the adhesive agent, round the inner mold 1A, and, when the liquefied polymer composition 3 touches the fibers, the dye oozes out into the liquefied polymer composition, melts and disperses, whereby the belts are colored.
