Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled product for reinforcing an FRP product capable of making the brand easily without degrading the external appearance of a molded article of the resin, by coloring glass fibers with a pigment capable of discoloring and fading in the curing of the unsaturated polyester resin.
CONSTITUTION: A glass fibrous product, e.g., a chopped glass strand, is colored with a coloring material containing a monoazo pigment capable of discoloring or fading on curing of a resin, preferably of the formula (X is halogen; R is hydrophilic group; n and m are 1W3) wholly or partially, e.g. by the spraying, and the resultant colored glass fibrous product is then mixed with an unsaturated polyester resin to give the aimed glass fibrous product.
