Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform attachable and detachable connection surely by forming a V groove in a substrate made by mixing powder of ferromagnetic body into a synthetic resin and sandwiching an optical fiber pair by means of this V-groove and magnet. CONSTITUTION:Optical fibes 2a, 2b are mounted on a V-groove substrate 1 made of a synthetic resin formed by being mixed with ferromagnetic powder as a filler and the optical fibes 2a, 2b are covered with a flexible-rubber made magnet 3 from above whereby they are retained. At this time, it is convenient if a window 4 made of a transparent member is provided in the central part of the magnet 3 in orde to enable the connection states of the optical fibers 2a, 2b to be checked from the outside.
