Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the combustion device having a relatively large combustion quantity and capable of performing blue cone combustion by combining a system for atomizing fuel by a nozzle with a system for vaporizing fuel by a vaporizer of high temperature, and utilizing the merits of both systems together.
CONSTITUTION: After the electric current is applied to a heater 5 to heat the vaporizer 4 to a predetermined temperature, a blower 3 is driven to supply combustion air through an air feed port 11 into a mixing chamber 7, and a fuel supply pump 2 is driven to spray fuel through the nozzle 1. Upon this occasion, fuels having smaller particle diameters, of the fuels sprayed through the nozzle 1 are mixed with combustion air, and introduced to the mixing chamber 7. On the other hand, fuels of larger particle diameters come into collision with the vaprorizer 4 and gasified, and thereafter, similarly mixed with the combustion air. A gaseous mixture introduced in the mixing chamber 7 is increased of its mixing degree by a mixing promoting plate 8, and flows out into a combustion chamber 6 from a thin line shaped flame hole plate 9, and burnt by being ignited by a pilot flame 10.
