Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out the exhaust gas desulfurizing treatment efficiently by blowing a specific amount of water vapor or water into the exhaust gas of an upstream side of a catalitic reactor of a denitrating apparatus as well as maintaining the temp. of the catalitic reactor in a specific range.
CONSTITUTION: In a general operating condition at reaction temp. of 300W450°C, 5W60vol%, pref., 10W50vol% of water vapor against the total treating exhaust gas is added to the exhaust gas to be treated through a water vapor supply pipe 13 to form a high humidity atmosphere temporally. Moreover, the temp. of a catalitic reactor 2 is maintained at 300W450°C, more pref., 350W400°C and a poisoning component contained in a catalyst is decomposed and released to regenerate said catalyst. The temp. of the catalitic reactor 2 is regulated by controlling a damper 12 of a bypass 11. In substitute of the water vapor supply pipe 13, a water injecting pipe 15 is provided and said high humidity atmosphere can be formed by adding water.
