Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize separating a copying paper from a photosensitive drum, by keeping the gap between the drum and a separating belt constant.
CONSTITUTION: Copying paper 2 is supplied to the circumference of photosensitive drum 1 having a toner image. The image is transferred with transfer charger 3, the paper with the image transferred is absorbed to end less belt 4 by reverse charge occurring on belt 4, and thus, it is separated from drum 1. Since gap G between belt 4 and drum 1 greatly affects on transfer efficiency and separation performance, flanges are provided on both the sides of pulley 6 of belt 4 in order to obtain adequate gap G and to accord flange height with the adequate value of gap G.
