Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce titled foam having excellent heat resistance, flame resistance and resistance to embrittlement and providing smooth surfaces during spray foaming, by employing a specified polyol and an aliphatic diol or an aliphatic triol.
CONSTITUTION: The urethane-modified isocyanurate foam is obtained by mixing 100pts.wt. of (A) a polyol mixture comprising at least 50wt% of aromatic amine- based polyols represented by formulas I and/or II, wherein R is alkylene, n1W8 are each 1W7 and m is 0W4, and at most 50wt% of an aromatic diol represented by formula III, wherein R' is alkylene, X1 and X2 are each 1W2, with 5W25pts.wt. of (B) an aliphatic diol or triol, hydroxyl value ≥300; adding to the resulting mixture an aromatic polyisocyanate in an amount corresponding to 2W10 times the number of eq. to the active hydrogen compound in component A in the mixture, a blowing agent, a catalyst and a surfactant; and reacting the final mixture.
