Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform sure vacuum sealing with simple constitution and achieve the improvement in workability and the reduction in cost by disposing an electron gun moving carriage between two fixing members and plural sheets of vacuum-holding sliding materials before and behind said carriage, in titled equipment of partial vacuum type.
CONSTITUTION: Two fixing material 3, a carriage 4 mounted with an electron gun 8 and movable along the fixing materials 3, and more than two sheets of sliding materials 5, 6 before and behind said carriage 4 are disposed to constitute partial vacuum type electron beam welding equipment. Vacuum selaing materials are interposed between the works 2 and the fixing materials 3, between the fixing materials 3 and sliding materials 5, 6 and the moving carriage 4, between the sliding members, and between the sliding members 5, 6 and the moving carriage 4, and these are so constituted as to weld the weld zone with the electron gun 8 while maintain- ing a vacuum by vacuuming between the works 2 and the moving carriage 4 and while moving the carriage 4. With the above-mentioned constitution, the workability may be improved and the cost reduced without requiring any special jigs.
