Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the distance where molten metal flows and decrease the production of oxide by directly extending the pouring inlet of molten metal up to the mold cavity.
CONSTITUTION: The mold has a molten metal pouring inlet 1 consisting of an annular groove of which central shaft aligns to the rotating shaft and end extends up to the mold cavity 3. Hence, the molten metal poured flows directly into the mold cavity 3 through the molten metal pouring port 1. The annular groove is so installed that the flow passage of the molten metal becomes as short as possible. Thereby, the distance where the molten metal flows is considerably decreased and the disturbance of the molten metal is less. Thereupon, even at the time of casting of metals such as aluminum and aluminum alloy which are easily oxidized, the formation of oxide is less and the defects of casting are decreased.
